Progress Report on the “Value of Library and Information Services in Patient Care” Study

Dear Andrea, Mitzi, Cynthia and Linda,

We are writing to offer a progress report on the “Value of Library and Information Services in Patient Care” Study (http://nnlm.gov/mar/about/value.html). Thank you again for your support for this important research study which explores the value of librarians, and of information services and resources, to clinical outcomes in a hospital setting.

Planning for the pilot has been underway all spring and summer, and the survey of physicians, residents, and nurses within participating institutions will deploy in early September. Read more» » »

Free Training in Lancaster PA September 27 and 28

The Library System of Lancaster County PA will be hosting two consumer health classes on September 27&  28, 2010. The classes are sponsored by the Middle Atlantic Region (MAR) of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine. They will be taught by Helen Tannenbaum, MAR’s Outreach and Communications Coordinator.
