One is genomics, and the second is health information technology (HIT). Health information technology is likely to become ubiquitous in care delivery in the near future. While it has great promise, it hasn&#8217;t always delivered. Dr. Bates will discuss the current state of HIT, what the next frontiers are, and what an HIT-enabled practice of medicine might be like.</p></blockquote>
