Dear all,
At this year’s annual meeting, we will be accepting donations to give to a wonderful early literacy program called Jeff Reads, which comprises Jefferson pediatricians who participate in the nation-wide Reach Out And Read program – read more about the national program here http://reachoutandread.org/providers/ . Tara Berman, MD, of Jefferson says: “It is an evidence-based intervention that truly makes a difference and is a wonderful program. It focuses on underserved families and at Nemours Pediatrics at Jefferson we distribute over 6000 books every year.”
New (or gently used) children’s books for ages 0-5 will be collected for Jeff Reads on May 1, as will checks and cash – every dollar donated goes directly to purchase books!
I hope you will do some spring cleaning of your bookshelves, or even purchase a new book or two, and support this wonderful program!
