Medical Information Specialist (Plymouth Meeting, PA)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

An independent non-profit organization that researches the best approaches to improving patient care, is seeking an experienced healthcare information professional to join the Health Technology Assessment/EPC Information Center as an expert searcher. The successful candidate will possess flexibility, creativity, and high commitment to organizational objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree and background in life sciences preferred.
• Masters degree in library science or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of demonstrated ability to understand scientific and health service research information.
• Experience with medical electronic information sources and controlled vocabularies is essential.
• Other qualifications include excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work with multidisciplinary staff.
• Familiarity with principles of evidence-based medicine and experience conducting reference interviews desirable.

SALARY:45,000-55,000
