Lankenau Hospital is seeking a part-time Medical Librarian (24 hours per week).
Duties: Catalogs and classifies all monographs, serials, and audio-visual materials using NLM classification; responsible for collection development in assigned subject areas; assists staff and students in preparing bibliographies, abstracts or reviews and acts as a consultant in the location of study or reference materials; consults with staff and other library users on information retrieval, management, and online searching; responsible for audio-visual acquisitions and development of audio-visual programs; prepares journals for binding; perform interlibrary loan procedures and maintain DOCLINE; logs in journals and processes journal claims; maintains reference and reserve lists; performs work in accordance with specified standards; performs other job related duties as assigned by site supervisor and Director of Library Services; does inventory of holdings twice a year; work in other locations (Bryn Mawr & Paoli) as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degre required. Library Science degree a plus but not required. Experience preferred. Must have strong aptitude with computers and be well versed in Microsoft Office.
