Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library Science or Information Technology is required. Educational and scholarly credentials to warrant faculty appointment at one or more UMDNJ schools are required. Must be proficient in the use of technology-based library systems; for example, electronic reserve systems, integrated library systems, network administration, Web-based education support and development, document imaging for scholarly information transfer, and scholarly information resources and databases.
Responsibilities: Provides reference and education services, in support of education, research, and clinical goals of the University, as well as well as to outreach programs sponsored by UMDNJ. Participates in the implementation of library and informatics training programs for the Newark campus, as well as for university-wide WebCT courses. Utilizes the Web and other media to provide quality services for the UMDNJ community.
