Chapter Breakfast at 3 by the Sea on Thursday

Will you be at 3 by the Sea on Thursday? If so, please stop by to catch up with your MLA-Phil Chapter colleagues over an informal buffet breakfast between 7am – 9am in the Asian Spice restaurant at Resorts. The Board will be meeting there at 8am. Members are welcome to sit in.

This cost of breakfast is included in your inclusive or Thursday registration, or available as a separate ticketed event.

Chronicle Reporters Needed for 3 by the Sea

Several people are needed to report on 3 by the Sea for our chapter newsletter. A 1- to 2-page recap is fine. Please let Rachel know which activity you would like to report on. For your reference, a copy of the program is available. All articles should be submitted to Rachel Resnick by November 1.

3 by the Sea, an MLA TriChapter Conference to be held in Atlantic City, NJ on October 5-8, 2009

Even though summer is not quite upon us, it’s not too soon to start thinking about 3 by the Sea, an MLA TriChapter Conference to be held in Atlantic City, NJ on October 5-8, 2009 at Resorts Hotel and Casino. 3 by the Sea is a joint conference of the Middle-Atlantic, New York/New Jersey, and Philadelphia Regional chapters of the Medical Library Association.

You are invited to submit proposals for posters for the conference. Submissions are due by June 30, 2009 July 15, 2009. Take this opportunity to highlight your experiences in medical librarianship by submitting proposals related to the conference themes of Skills for the Future; Patient Care; Technology. Suggestions for poster content include:

Innovative ways to reach your clients
What strategies have you used to create a successful partnership
Share new technologies that have made a difference for your users
How are you planning for the future
Techniques and strategies for operating during an economic recession
Research or projects you want to share with colleagues

Registration opens on July 15, 2009. Early bird registration for chapter members is $225 through August 26.
