Geeks bearing gifts

Thanks to Gregg Headrick, who came down from New York last Thursday to lead about 15 of us on a tour of tools and trends in the NN/LM workshop “Geeks Bearing Gifts 2.0: Unwrapping New Technology Trends.” Here’s the outline. Once again I forgot to bring a camera so you’ll just have to imagine the Hahnemann computer lab, a great place for hands-on instruction.  As the title of the course implies, he was evenhanded about presenting them with no illusions that any one tool was a game changer.

Participants swapped stories about what they are using (Rebecca uses Bloglines for journal clubs; Lisa uses WordPress.com to extend the library website) and what they are seeing (I mentioned Jefferson’s OT Center in Second Life; Jenny mentioned recent discussion about doctors and medical students twittering).
